The Woman Behind All This Magic!

Amy Hawk is a master’s-educated family nurse practitioner by day and a storyteller by heart. Raised in Missouri and now thriving under the Florida sun, she runs her own practice while also working in emergency medicine. Nursing may be her calling, but reading has always been her passion, and now she’s bringing that passion to life through the pages of The Tales of Rumpus.

Amy’s love for books started when she was young. She wrote on her grade school plan that she wanted to write books, and decades later, she’s bringing that childhood dream to life. Her inspiration is a mix of Disney fairy tales and a deep desire to create a story where girls don’t wait to be saved; they lead, they conquer, and they shine. The Tales of Rumpus is not just a story of adventure but a testament to bravery, friendship, and the magic within us all.

When she’s not writing, Amy enjoys pickleball, biking, traveling, and discovering new foods. She shares her home with her husband, mother, mother-in-law, and one very lucky cat. Those who know her best describe her as loud, funny, determined, and full of heart, just like the characters she creates.

Amy is already working on her next book, a tale about Queen Riley, ruler of the Third Realm. Amy aims to become a household name in children’s literature and the go-to bedtime story writer for kids everywhere.
